Swiss Chalet, a popular Canadian restaurant chain known for its rotisserie chicken, has initiated a recall of its Chicken Breast Nuggets after reports emerged of bone fragments found in the product. The recall was announced by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and involves specific batches of the Chicken Breast Nuggets sold in 1.8 kg bags under the brand name Swiss Chalet. The affected products have a lot code of 2023/04/17 and a best-before date of 2024/01/29. Although there have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of these nuggets, consumers are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. A spokesperson for Swiss Chalet stated, “We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality meals and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused.” The CFIA continues to monitor the situation and urges anyone who may have purchased the affected product to dispose of it safely or return it for a refund. This follows a similar incident where other chicken products were recalled earlier this year due to contamination concerns. The CFIA has outlined a series of steps for consumers to identify whether their product is impacted by the recall as part of their public safety efforts.
