Law enforcement responded to the scene on the 600 block of East Main Street following reports of a domestic assault. They arrived to find a man armed with a firearm, leading to a standoff that extended for several hours. After negotiations with the suspect failed, police were forced to enter the residence. Tragically, they discovered the first victim, later identified as 32-year-old Mark Thomas, unresponsive.
