In a shocking incident in Fishersville, Virginia, three children were kidnapped while waiting for their school bus. The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office reported that the children, aged 6, 8, and 10, were approached by a woman who lured them into a van under false pretenses. The kidnapping occurred around 7:30 AM at the bus stop on the 2300 block of Churchville Avenue. Authorities stated that the woman was described as having dark hair and wearing a black dress. The kids were able to escape after the woman drove them a short distance, ultimately leading to their safe return. Augusta County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy, L. C. J. Cuber, emphasized, “We are thankful that these children are safe. The investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.” Parents and guardians have been urged to accompany their children to school bus stops in light of this incident. The sheriff’s office has increased patrols in the area to ensure safety for children.
