In a significant operation aimed at thwarting potential threats, security forces have successfully recovered 10 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. The operation on the first day of 2025 showcased the diligence of the armed forces in countering Naxal insurgency. Addressing the media, a senior official from the Indian Army stated, “This operation illustrates our commitment to keeping the region safe from Naxalite violence.” The IEDs were discovered in the jungles of the district and were deemed ready for use. In another coordinated effort on the same day, additional IEDs were recovered in other parts of the state, reinforcing security forces’ strategy to neutralize threats before they materialize. Reports suggest that these devices were intended for use against troops deployed in anti-Naxal operations. Security officials continue to remain on high alert amid rising activities linked to Naxalite groups in the region, which have historically posed significant challenges to law and order in central India. The ongoing efforts reflect the dedication of the security forces to ensuring the safety of local communities and securing the area from extremist violence.
