The incident occurred on February 22, 2025, as reports state that Micah Princiotta, 27, allegedly assaulted his brother and the cat with a knife near their home in Princeton, New Jersey. Authorities responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute and found Nicholas suffering from critical injuries. Emergency personnel later declared him dead at the scene. The suspect, Micah, was taken into custody and has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder and felony animal cruelty. Princeton police identified the deceased brother as a former star athlete from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School who had played soccer during his academy days. Police Chief Nicholas K.
