Ford Motor Company has announced significant recalls affecting multiple models due to serious safety concerns. Specifically, approximately 300,000 F-Series trucks are being recalled due to defective fuel pumps that could potentially lead to engine stall, which raises the risk of accidents. The affected models include F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 from various model years. Ford is notifying owners and dealers, and the recall is set to commence in mid-March 2024.
Additionally, about 20,484 vehicles, including the 2020-2024 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair, are being recalled due to a battery issue. The defect is related to the possibility of battery fire due to damaged array connectors. The issue first came to light based on reports from Ford’s internal investigation. Owners will receive notification about the necessary repairs, scheduled to begin on January 26, 2024.
“Safety is our top priority,” stated Ford spokesperson, confirming that the company is working diligently to ensure all affected vehicles are repaired. Ford is also advising vehicle owners to take immediate action if they experience any symptoms related to engine stalling or battery warning lights.
