According to the Fairfax County police department, the incidents occurred in early February under circumstances that remain under investigation. The allegations were reported to the police on February 7, leading to Barnett’s arrest. As per the authorities, the investigation revealed that the teacher had inappropriately touched the students during school hours. After his arrest, Barnett was released on a $10,000 bond.
