Cori Clingman Faces 13 Charges in Connection to Khyree Jackson’s Death

Cori Clingman, a 26-year-old resident of Prince George’s County, has been indicted on 13 charges related to the tragic death of 18-year-old Khyree Jackson, a talented football player who was a senior at Wise High School. The charges include vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving, and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Khyree Jackson lost his life in a crash on January 13, 2025, along with his two teammates, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton, who were also present in the vehicle at the time of the incident. According to authorities, Clingman was driving at high speeds when he crashed into a tree, resulting in the tragic loss of these young athletes. Jackson was noted for his skills on the field, with aspirations to play college football. Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy expressed her condolences, stating, “The loss of these young men is a heartbreaking tragedy that has impacted their families and the community.” Clingman is currently being held at the Prince George’s County jail, with bail set at $100,000. His next court date is scheduled for February 15, 2025, where he will face these serious charges in front of a judge.
