Avelo Airlines Expands Operations in Connecticut and Texas with New Nonstop Routes

Avelo Airlines has unveiled plans to launch new nonstop routes from Bradley International Airport and Tweed-New Haven Airport, enhancing travel options to popular Caribbean destinations. On December 9, 2024, it was announced that Bradley International Airport will introduce a weekly flight to Grand Cayman starting January 20, 2025, and to Cozumel, Mexico with a launch date of February 10, 2025. Avelo’s CEO, Andrew Levy, expressed excitement about these new routes, stating, ‘We are delighted to connect our Connecticut customers to these beautiful Caribbean destinations, where they can enjoy sun, sand, and relaxation.’ Meanwhile, Tweed-New Haven Airport will add flights to four new destinations including Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; St. Augustine, Florida; and Norfolk, Virginia. Tickets for these destinations will be available starting December 12, 2024, with prices beginning at $79 per flight. In another development, Avelo has also secured its first route from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Colorado Springs, slated to start on March 14, 2025. The introduction of these routes marks a significant expansion for the airline, which aims to provide affordable and convenient travel options across the United States and the Caribbean.
