Two Students Wounded in School Shooting at Feather River School in Oroville

In a tragic incident at the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists in Oroville, California, two students were injured following a shooting that unfolded on the campus. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the events on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Authorities responded quickly to the scene after receiving emergency calls around 1:30 PM from staff members. Upon arrival, the sheriff’s deputies were informed that there had been a shooting involving a 12-year-old male suspected shooter, who was later detained. The two wounded students, both of whom attend the school, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to local medical facilities for treatment.
