According to reports, the highest recorded snowfall total was 15.5 inches in Winona County, with many other areas experiencing substantial accumulations. The Minnesota Department of Transportation has advised against travel in the southern and central parts of the state due to hazardous conditions. Meanwhile, local authorities are urging residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, as heavy snowfall has led to dangerous driving conditions. The storm also resulted in numerous school closures and delayed services across affected areas. Meteorologist Greg Spoden stated, ‘This was a significant winter storm that brought various challenges, especially for those traveling.’ Snow totals recorded from various weather stations included 14.2 inches in New Prague, 12 inches in Red Wing, and 10 inches in Mankato.
