The highly anticipated Life Time Miami Marathon is set to take place on Sunday, February 4, 2025, drawing thousands of participants and spectators. This year marks the 23rd edition of the marathon, which has gained immense popularity, reporting a record number of registrants eager to take part. The event will necessitate significant street closures affecting various neighborhoods throughout Miami. According to the city officials, closures will begin as early as 2 a.m. on race day, with many roads reopening gradually from 9 a.m. onwards. Some of the major thoroughfares affected include Biscayne Boulevard and 17th Street, as well as areas around Bayfront Park, where the race will kick off. “We’re excited to welcome so many runners and spectators to Miami. It showcases our city and promotes fitness,” said Francisco Garcia, the Miami Marathon race director. The marathon not only includes the full 26.2-mile distance but also features a half-marathon option for those not ready for the full challenge. The community is encouraged to participate as volunteers, offering water stations and support along the course. In light of the event, residents are reminded to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays during the race.
