Indie rock star Lucy Dacus has officially announced her much-anticipated new album, titled ‘Forever Is a Feeling’, set to be released on March 15, 2024. Alongside this announcement, she debuted a new music video for her single ‘Ankles’. The video showcases Dacus’s signature storytelling style, intertwining themes of personal introspection and broader life observations. Reflecting on her creative process, Dacus mentions in a statement, “This song is about the collision of ‘pushing it all away’ and ‘feeling it all too much’.” In conjunction with the album release, Dacus will embark on a North American tour, kicking off in Philadelphia on March 20 and wrapping up in Atlanta on May 4. The tour will include major stops in cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, featuring performances at iconic venues such as The Wiltern and Radio City Music Hall. Pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available starting October 27, 2023, with general sales following on October 30, 2023. Dacus’s rise in the indie music scene has been marked by her previous successes, including her involvement in the supergroup Boygenius alongside Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. Her new album promises to showcase her continued evolution as an artist, building on the thematic depth and musicality found in her earlier works.
