Omar Gooding and Miguel Nunez, renowned comedians, visited East Baton Rouge (EBR) schools on Thursday morning as part of an initiative focused on encouraging students. Gooding and Nunez interacted with students, sharing their personal journeys in the entertainment industry, which resonated strongly with the audience. Omar Gooding stated, “It’s important for kids to see people who look like them succeeding in all fields of life. We’re here to inspire and motivate.” Additionally, the duo participated in discussions about the importance of education and hard work. In conjunction with their school visit, a comedy show is scheduled for this weekend, with proceeds aimed at raising funds for the local organization, The Cure. Nunez mentioned about the show, “We want to give back to the community that has supported us. Laughter is a great way to connect and inspire change.” The show is set for Saturday evening at 7 PM, with tickets priced at $25. Funds raised will go directly to support youth programs within the area.
