The local water crisis continues to strain residents in Henrico County and Richmond, with officials working to restore services and boost pressure to affected areas. As of January 8, 2025, Henrico officials revealed that the water service restoration process is taking longer than expected. County officials stated, “We’re doing everything we can” to expedite the recovery efforts. Meanwhile, the city of Richmond plans to install two bypass pumps at the Richmond Water Plant in an effort to increase water pressure amid the ongoing challenges.
