The suspect, identified as 36-year-old James Ray Givens of Houston, was arrested on October 19, 2023. The authorities were alerted to a robbery in progress at approximately 4:45 PM. Reports indicated that Givens was brandishing a firearm while demanding valuables from mall visitors. Officers quickly arrived and confronted the suspect, leading to his apprehension in the parking lot at 4:54 PM, just nine minutes after the initial call.
