The match took place at the Georgia State Stadium where Grayson’s defense showcased its strength, effectively containing the potent Carrollton offense. Notably, Grayson’s defense was instrumental in forcing Carrollton to turn over the ball three times, resulting in significant momentum shifts during the game. Grayson quarterback, Kaden Smith, delivered an impressive performance, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another, while running back, Keshawn Pender, contributed with a stellar 132-yard rushing effort and a touchdown. Both teams entered the championship ranked among the top in the state, with Grayson ranked No. 24 nationally and Carrollton at No. 4. Grayson’s victory marks their fourth state title in the program’s history, further solidifying their reputation in Georgia high school football.
